As a part of MedicFirst’s continuous commitment to providing quality care to all patients, our practice is officially registered with MyMedicare.
MyMedicare is a newly launched voluntary model developed by the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care with the purpose of strengthening the relationship between patient and general practitioner. Studies have indicated that having a regular general practitioner is associated with better healthcare outcomes. As a result, we encourage all patients to register with MedicFirst through MyMedicare for better access to a regular GP.
From October 2023, you will be able to register MedicFirst as your MyMedicare practice and gain additional benefits.
Patients who have registered with MyMedicare will still be able to receive care from other healthcare providers. You may also change the preferred general practitioners within your registered practice at any time and may change practices.
To register for MyMedicare, you must have one of the following:
- A medicare card
- Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) Veteran Card
